'Tropical Funk' to, enliven gallery

Grand Central Gallery, 443 Grand Central Ave. (across from the University of Tampa), will have an opening reception 6 to 9 p.m. Friday for its new exhibit, Tropical Funk.

The works of 15 artists will be presented in a tropical multimedia setting.

Various artists will make appearances, and free wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Artists to be featured include Gracia Bennish, Reza, Joe Hruby, Greg Gronoweski and Leon Applebaum.

 

 

 

 

 

As an example of what to expect, just imagine art that looks good enough to eat. In addition to his large, floral print, there will be Chocolate Cherry Cake by artist Reza.

The reception is free, and the exhibit will run through July 25.

The artwork, Chocolate Cherry Cake by artist Reza, will be on display at Grand Central Gallery.

 

Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
